Digitalswitzerland, organized as an association and foundation, aims to position Switzerland as the leading digital hub - worldwide. The association, which counts representatives from all branches of industry, universities, foundations, start-ups and investors among its members, is responsible for the operational activities of the association.
The foundation is responsible for and finances the programmes and initiatives of digitalswitzerland and is supported by the individual members. The association and foundation have a common management structure.
The digitalswitzerland Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Switzerland with a focus on digital transformation:

- accelerating innovation processes by connecting existing and new initiatives of institutions and large companies, platforms, communities and clusters.
- entrepreneurs frosm Switzerland and abroad to set up their own start-up company .
- Investments in start-ups .
- the professionalisation of start-ups and the investor community .
- the linking-up of various initiatives and the commitment of major financial partners to strengthen the start-up scene in Switzerland.
- a broad embedment and design as an open platform to coordinate the procurement of capital for the start-up scene.
- the improvement of the political framework conditions for Switzerland as a location for innovation and business.
