Alfred Vogt-Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology
founded: 1938
Alfred Vogt established the Alfred Vogt-Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology on 17 June 1938 in memory of his son who died in an accident.
The aim of the Foundation is to promote research in ophthalmology by awarding an annual prize to honour what the Foundation's Board of Trustees considers to be the best scientific work of recent years in the field of ophthalmology and its borderline areas.
