Dr. Matthias von Orelli
Managing Director
studied musicology, Italian literature and ethnology of music at the University of Zurich, and also obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Arts Administration at the University of Zurich. His thesis investigated the life and work of the Swiss conductor and composer Volkmar Andreae. He has published a large number of books and has written widely for newspapers such as the NZZ and others. Returning from sojourns in Berlin and Vienna, he has spent the last few years working as an international artists' manager, seeking to promote and advance the careers of young artists. He is President of Stiftung Davos Festival – young artists in concert, a member of other foundation boards, and co-founder of a consultancy firm specialized in questions of art.

Trained as a business administrator KFS, various assistant positions in Switzerland, stay abroad in the USA and Costa Rica in 97/98, responsible for the entire administration of Fondation des Fondateurs.
